Practicing a Reverse Bucket List

A happiness researcher suggests creating a reverse bucket list by writing down meaningful experiences you have already had vs ones you hope to have.

While traditional bucket lists focus on what remains undone, a reverse bucket list shifts attention toward memories, relationships, milestones, and quiet moments that have already enriched your life.

Such an exercise may reduce constant pressure to chase the next achievement. It can also remind people that a good life does not require endless travel, wealth, or dramatic experiences to be a life well lived. Gratitude feels more concrete when attached to real memories.

I think this is a great way to approach a bucket list, but maybe even a hybrid one would be even better. A list of achievements and hoping to achieve goals to keep you grounded but still hopeful for the next thing.

Life is about priorities and things that are important to one person may not be important to the next. I personally love to travel and I have been able to visit many interesting international destinations. I also prioritize being a mom, striving to be the best mom I can be. Now combine my two priorities and I think we have some pretty fabulous mother/daughter trips in our future.
