My prayer is that every single one of us would find a friendship that feels like home. A friendship where we’ve created a safe space for each other to be unapologetically ourselves. A friendship that brings so much joy just by simply being together. Whether it’s sharing appetizers, curling up on the couch watching nonsense tv, or going through a drive-thru together.
A friendship where our talks bring more healing to both of our hearts than either of us could ever say. A friendship that is full of grace, approachability, and quick forgiveness. A friendship that’s worth sacrificing for. A friendship that carries us both through our own storms together. A friendship where it’s okay to have no words, to not be okay, and to fall apart.
A friendship where it’s a joy, not a burden, to be there for each other in the biggest celebrations and the darkest seasons. A friendship that speaks up for each other when we’re not in the same room. A friendship that inspires us to grow and to blossom. A friendship that makes us believe in ourselves even more and go after our own dreams with someone by our side.
I think that’s why God created friendship, and I want each and every one of us to find and enjoy the very special relationship that is a friend that feels like a soulmate.
