Traveling with kids

They told me my life would be over when I had my daughter. No more traveling. No more adventure. No more spontaneity. No more freedom…but they were wrong.

My life didn’t end when I became a mother. The adventures just became more meaningful, and now I get to see the world through her eyes.

Yes, traveling looks a lot different now. There are more bags and snacks. More stops and a lot less sleep. Plans change, meltdowns are inevitable, and nothing goes exactly as expected.

But there’s also more laughter, more wonder, and more memories worth keeping. I get to see her face light up with wonder as she experiences somewhere and something new. I get to hold her hands as she sees the world for the first time.

Having my daughter didn’t stop me from living. It gave me more reasons to explore and more places to discover, especially “kid friendly” places, and more moments to remember.

My life didn’t get smaller when I had my daughter. My world got bigger. And the greatest adventure of my life began the day I became her mother.
