Making Memories

Today was so fun with my daughter. We did have some bad moments that I would like to forget (specifically when she jumped on my bad knee), but for the most part it was a great day! We turned on pandora and had a huge dance party, with the music on full blast, for most of the afternoon. It was amazing! We took turns singing into her toy microphone and just blasted our favorite pop songs.

This week some other fun things we have done:

  1. Went to the movies to see Toy Story 5, it was amazing (I cried!)
  2. Tried the local waterpark, Texas Typhoon, and it was an amazing day of floating the lazy river and playing in the kiddie area, while sipping on fresh lemonade all afternoon.

I love making these memories with my sweet girl! And I hope she remembers them as well as I will hopefully one day. One on one time with my daughter is so good for my mental health. She is my heart and soul and everything she does is just so cute and funny and lifts my spirits so much.

That is one reason why co-parenting is so hard, because there is a lot of time throughout the year that she is with my ex-husband and I miss her so bad, which brings my mood down into a slight depression.

So…. BIG NEWS… I adopted a sweet rescue puppy this week! I will pick her up in a week, and I am so excited! She will be a companion for both me and my daughter and help be my emotional support animal when B (my daughter’s nickname) is gone. I am so looking forward to cuddling this sweet baby!

So dog parents out there please comment below with any advice for getting a puppy especially regarding potty training- Thank you in advance! I need all the help I can get!
