I have had doctors tell me not to drink caffeine when I am on an up swing with my mood from my Bipolar diagnosis, but man when I am on a down swing I need the most caffeine that my body will tolerate!
Being a mom has really gotten me addicted to caffeine too. As the last to bed, usually, I need some caffeine to get me through the witching hour which is around dinner time and dusk and as the first to get up as well I need it in the morning to keep me energized.
As far as addictions go this is a pretty minor one that has no real consequences negatively on a person’s quality of life like hard recreational drugs do, which is good.
One of my cousins lives in Utah where there are a lot of Mormon’s and a big thing in the Mormon faith is no caffeine, so when you go out to eat there it is hard to find a place there that sells caffeinated drinks, and that would be a struggle for me as I love Coke Zero with my meals!
Long story short I am not giving up caffeine anytime soon, but maybe drinking less sparkling drinks like soda would help my feet and ankles be less swollen and puffy and help me feel better!
